"This is an apartment-style hotel with no breakfast. However, there's a convenience store at the front desk where you can buy snacks. Being directly inside a mall is quite convenient. It was a bit hard to find the first time I came. You can take the blue elevator in the mall directly to the 5th floor. The hotel room is very spacious and great for staying in. The only downside is that the bed is a bit small. There's a kettle in the room."

I stayed at another Holiday Inn Express in Edinburgh city center in early July where the staff were very accommodating. If you're not going to be pet-friendly, then don't advertise it as such! Plus, it was more expensive than the other, more convenient Holiday Inn Express."

"During the National Day holiday, I stayed at the W Edinburgh. Two nights cost 6,500 without breakfast. As expected, being Chinese, I was assigned a room in the annex (James Craig), opposite The Ribbon, on the second floor in the furthest corner. Trip.com was basically useless and unresponsive. I only blame myself for booking through Trip.com in April when it offered free cancellation. I should have booked directly with Marriott as a high-tier member once my plans were firm, as I would have at least received room upgrade benefits. Regarding service, a chubby white man at the front desk during check-in said everything was full and only the presidential suite was available for a paid upgrade, which was laughable 😂. Another handsome white man was much better, so keep an eye out for him. The housekeeping service was thorough, and the room was quite clean and comfortable. If you stay at the W, you must visit the 12th-floor Deck for the views. I can only say that the 4,000-yuan room rate delivered on convenience and views."
